Tile Installation in Prosper, TX
Floor tile, waterproof showers, backsplashes, and large-format porcelain for Prosper's new-construction homes — Windsong Ranch, Star Trail, Whitley Place, and beyond. Free in-home estimate, no trip fee.
Prosper is a town of big, near-new homes, and the tile work follows the same pattern almost everywhere we go: the bones are there, but the builder's standard tile is the one place owners want to level up. Whether you're redoing a primary shower in Windsong Ranch or setting a fresh backsplash off Prosper Trail, we handle floor tile, wet areas, and large-format porcelain across town.
At Home Flooring Solutions is family-owned in Wylie, and Prosper sits at the northern edge of our Collin County service area. We come up US-380 regularly for tile jobs, and our tile installation crew brings full-size samples so you can hold a plank of porcelain against your own cabinets, quartz, and paint before anything is ordered — the estimate and the trip are always free.
What We Install in Prosper
Floor Tile Installation
Porcelain and ceramic floors for entries, kitchens, mudrooms, and Prosper's big open downstairs plans — laid out so grout lines stay square across long runs.
Shower & Wet-Area Tile
Full waterproof shower builds with a bonded membrane and pre-slope — the right way to do a curbless or oversized primary shower in a two-story Prosper home.
Kitchen & Wet-Bar Backsplash
Subway, zellige-look, herringbone, and stacked large-format backsplashes cut cleanly around outlets, range hoods, and window sills.
Large-Format Porcelain
24x48 and larger panels set with a leveling system so thin grout joints stay flat and lippage-free — the finish most Prosper buyers are after.
Tile Repair & Replacement
Swap cracked builder tile, re-set hollow-sounding pieces, and re-grout tired showers without tearing out the whole room.
Waterproofing & Surface Prep
Crack-isolation membranes, slab flatness correction, and moisture checks on new slabs before a single tile goes down.
Tile Built for Prosper's New-Construction Homes
Prosper is one of the fastest-growing towns in northern Collin and Denton counties, and almost everything here is new construction inside Prosper ISD — Windsong Ranch, Star Trail, Whitley Place, Lakes of La Cima, Light Farms, and the custom sections along Prosper Trail. Homes are large, two stories are the norm, and the finish tier is a notch above typical builder product. That combination changes what good tile work looks like.
The most common project we see is an upgrade awayfrom the base-grade tile a builder used to hit a price. In practice that means large-format porcelain — 24x48 panels and up — set with a leveling system so the thin grout joints buyers want stay flat and free of lippage. On a slab that isn't perfectly flat (and a fresh Prosper slab rarely is), skipping the flattening step is what causes corners to stick up and grout to crack a year later. We correct the substrate first, then set. In showers, the oversized and curbless primary showers common in these floor plans need a real waterproofing system — a bonded membrane and a proper pre-slope to the drain — not just cement board and thin-set. That's the difference between a shower that lasts and one that leaks into the framing.
For the many two-story homes here, we also pay attention to what's under the tile. Crack-isolation membrane over slab control joints keeps normal foundation movement from telegraphing a crack straight up through your new floor — a small step that saves a big callback.
Neighborhoods We Cover in Prosper
We work all over town. West of the Dallas North Tollway, Windsong Ranch and Star Trail off US-380 are where we see the most large-format porcelain and spa-style shower requests — homes there lean modern and the wide-plank-porcelain look fits. In Whitley Place and Lakes of La Cima, we do a lot of backsplash and mudroom-floor work on established but still-newer homes. Along Prosper Trail and the custom pockets near Light Farms to the north, projects trend toward higher-end material — natural-look porcelain, book-matched shower walls, and detailed niche and bench work.
Closer to the core near Preston Roadand the Gates of Prosper, and out in the newer sections filling in toward Celina, we handle the same mix: floor tile in the high-traffic downstairs, backsplashes, and full wet-area shower builds. If you're in a section that's still under construction, we can also come in after closing to swap the builder tile before you move furniture in — the easiest time to do it.
Tile Installation Cost in Prosper
Honest answer: tile pricing is driven by the tile and the prep, not a flat rate. Standard-format floor tile on a clean, flat slab runs the least. Large-format porcelain that needs a leveling system, waterproofed showers with custom niches and benches, intricate patterns like herringbone, and any natural stone that requires sealing all sit higher — that's labor and materials, not markup. As a working range, most Prosper tile projects land around $9–$22 per square foot installed for floor tile, with waterproofed showers and detailed large-format work reaching the upper end and sometimes beyond depending on the design. Material grade, layout complexity, demo of existing tile, and slab condition are the real levers.
We don't quote off a photo. We measure every room, check the slab, walk through material options at your budget, and hand you a written line-item estimate before any work starts — no surprise add-ons mid-job. Qualifying projects can use our 12-month interest-free financing, which makes a full primary-bath or whole-downstairs tile job easier to stage.
Where We're Based & Getting to Prosper
Our showroom and shop are at 1001 Alanis Dr Ste 120 in Wylie, about 30 miles southeast of Prosper — a straight shot up US-380 through McKinney, roughly 40–45 minutes depending on the 380 traffic. Prosper is farther north than our home base, but we come up for tile work routinely and there is never a trip fee. You're welcome to visit the Wylie showroom to see porcelain, ceramic, and natural-stone samples in person, or we'll bring the samples to you — most Prosper homeowners prefer to compare tile under their own lighting against their cabinets and countertops, so that's usually how we start.
